4. Children’s data and parental authority
Trial and membership information for a child should be submitted by a parent, legal guardian or authorised adult. The person submitting information confirms that they have authority to provide it and to make relevant participation and privacy decisions for the child.
F17 will seek to collect only information reasonably needed for football participation, safety and academy administration.
5. Photography and video
F17 may take photographs or video at training, matches, tournaments and events for academy publications and media, including newsletters, brochures, invitations, news coverage, television, websites and social channels.
Images will not normally be identified using full names or personal identifying information without appropriate approval from the photographed person, parent or legal guardian.
A parent, guardian or participant who does not want an image recorded or distributed should notify the F17 Academy Director in writing and provide a reference photograph for identification. F17 will use that photograph only for the identification purpose and handle it confidentially.
Photography and video consent on the trial form is optional. Consent may be withdrawn for future use by contacting F17 in writing. Withdrawal may not require F17 to remove material already lawfully published or distributed where removal is not reasonably practicable.
Persons and organisations not affiliated with F17 may not use, copy, alter or modify F17 photographs, graphics, video or similar recordings without advance written permission.
7. Protection and retention
F17 will take reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss or similar risks.
Personal data should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for academy operations or for legal and business requirements, after which it should be securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Access, correction and withdrawal
You may ask about the personal data F17 holds about you or your child, request correction of inaccurate information, or withdraw consent for future collection, use or disclosure where consent is the basis relied upon.
Withdrawal may affect F17’s ability to provide a trial, membership, insurance, competition or other service where the information is necessary for that service. F17 may need to verify identity and authority before acting on a request.
9. Cookies and website storage
This version of the website uses only essential browser storage or session cookies needed for features such as the protected admin area. It does not include advertising cookies by default. See the Cookie Notice.

Use the F17 AI Assistant to request privacy support, access or correction, consent withdrawal or complaint escalation. Do not enter sensitive identifiers or medical information in the chat. The assistant will explain the correct next step for staff review. F17 should acknowledge and address formal requests within a reasonable period.

F17 may update this policy to reflect changes in academy operations, technology or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated when material changes are published.
