Frequently Asked Questions
Practical information before your child’s first F17 session.
Registration
How do I register my child under F17?
Your child may first attend a trial so F17 can assess whether the session is enjoyable, beneficial and suitable. Submit the online trial form. The F17 AI Assistant can guide you through programme suitability, schedules, preparation and the booking process.
After the trial, F17 staff will guide you through registration, the suitable programme, available package, kit and payment requirements.
When can my child come for a trial?
Register through the website to reserve a slot. The F17 AI Assistant can guide you before submission. The form recommends programmes from the player’s age, shows the available day, time and venue, and only offers trial dates matching the selected session. Trial attendance remains subject to programme suitability and available capacity, so wait for F17’s confirmation before going to the venue.
How much is the trial and how do I pay?
The trial fee is S$10. After submitting the booking form, you will receive a confirmation email with the payment instructions. Please complete the payment before attending the scheduled trial session. A reminder email will also be sent 1 day before the trial.
Will I receive confirmation and reminders?
Yes. Confirmation is emailed to the complete parent contact details supplied. The system also sends a reminder email 1 day before the selected trial date.
Parent Portal
Will parents receive access to the F17 Portal after signup?
Yes. After the membership signup payment is confirmed and the player is activated, each parent or guardian with a valid email address supplied during signup will receive a welcome email with access to the F17 Member Portal. New accounts receive a secure password-creation link rather than a password by email.
Parents can use the portal to:
- View each linked child’s profile, programme, training day, time, location and venue details.
- See the current package type, package expiration date and available renewal options.
- Review invoices, outstanding fees, payment status and payment records.
- View attendance information and submit an absence report.
- See teams, league or competition registrations, overseas trips and related updates where applicable.
- Check jersey, kit and document requirements.
- Receive academy announcements, reminders and portal notifications.
Important: The Koach App is a separate platform from the F17 Member Portal. Youth Programme players may receive separate Koach App access for Individual Action Plans (IAP), coach feedback, performance assessments and development reviews. Koach App records and login details are not part of the F17 Member Portal unless F17 specifically states otherwise.
If both parents provide different valid email addresses, F17 may create separate parent accounts linked to the same child. Parents should keep their login details private and ensure their email address remains current.
Programmes
Recreational Programme vs Development Programme
Recreational Programme: generally once a week for ages 4–12. It suits new and young players from beginner to intermediate level who are building interest, technique, coordination and confidence.
Development Programme: Tuesday and Thursday for ages 7–12. It targets higher-intermediate to advanced players who want more focused technical, tactical and competitive development. League fees are not included, and team allocation is decided by coaches with approval from the Academy Director.
Youth Programme: for ages 13–18, with higher-level concepts, critical thinking and preparation for further football pathways.
How will my child improve?
F17 uses a standardised, progressive coaching curriculum across programmes. Players build skills through age-appropriate and ability-appropriate sessions and may advance through the F17 Player Pathway as they develop.
Training
What should my child wear or bring?
Participants should come dressed in sporting attire and football boots or covered sports shoes. Bring water and any personal medical items required. After registration, the official F17 jersey, shorts and socks are compulsory training attire.
Can we pay per session attended?
No. F17 does not have a pay-per-session policy. Members select from the available training packages.
What happens if my child misses a session?
Missed sessions are not made up or carried forward. Unused sessions are forfeited, subject to the full Terms & Conditions.
Weather
What if it is raining or there is lightning?
Players should report for training as scheduled. Field activity will stop during lightning alerts. Coaches will follow the venue’s safety requirements and any available wet-weather programme or sheltered arrangement. A session that proceeds under the wet-weather programme is considered valid.
What if there is haze?
F17 monitors official Singapore haze information. The current supplied policy states that training pace may be reduced with more water breaks when PSI is 51–100, and training may be suspended or moved when PSI is 101 or above. The reading is based on the hour training starts. Check F17’s official updates before travelling.
The older FAQ text supplied to this website used a different threshold of 150. This version follows the Terms & Conditions threshold of 101 and above until F17 confirms otherwise.
Fees
What is included in the starter kit?
For Recreational and Development, the S$100 new-player starter package includes calendar-year insurance coverage (S$25) and the F17 kit (S$75: jersey S$50, shorts S$15 and socks S$10). The Youth Programme starter package is S$200 and also includes the Koach App S$100 one-time fee. Insurance is a fixed S$25 for the current calendar year, is not prorated for mid-year joining, expires on 31 December, and renews on 1 January. The Koach App is separate from the F17 Member Portal. Coaches use Koach for Individual Action Plans, personalised feedback, performance assessments and ongoing development reviews, while Youth players and parents access those development records through the separate Koach App.
When are fees due?
New signup fees are due at checkout. Package renewal is due by the 15th of the final covered month unless an invoice states another due date. Every package expires on the last day of its final covered month. Payments are non-refundable and packages are non-transferable.
